I’m someone with a bunch of interests, always having my fingers in a
couple different pies.
I’m an all-rounder when it comes to software engineering. I like to
understand the whole thing, from the big picture down to the weird
little details nobody else wants to figure out. I’m particularly
interested in complex backend systems, software security, and building
software that’s fast, efficient and reliable.
Growing up in Manchester, I studied Aeronautical Engineering at
Imperial College London, before going on to work in London and
Wellington. Outside of software, I love to travel, learn stuff, make
videos, make music, and generally give things a go.
Experience
4 years studying for a degree in an industry I will never work in.
Worked on developing networking protocols and 5G core.
This is where I fell in love with back end.
Kept spending ages copying and organising footage, so I created a desktop app.
Always wanted to live in New Zealand.
